Here are the pictures from my very first Panerai. THANK YOU SERGIO! :) This PAM 312 is really nice. The contrast between the brushed case and polished bezel is very nice. Large and commanding on my 7 1/2" wrist. looks a lot bigger than it really is, because of the 1950's case. Having never owned a Panerai (expecially the new models) I am INSTANTLY in love with the strap change setup. Why cant other makers do something like this?? (hear me Breitling?) The factory croc strap has to be fastened in the second to the last hole for my wrist. The last pics are of a strapluxe brand buffalo strap. It is noticably thicker than OEM and is a pretty decent buy at less than $100.

After polishing and bathing my Evo (just before boxing it up and shipping it off to the new owner), I wondered if I was doing the right thing by selling my Navi World and the Evo. Todays delivery confirmed that I made the right choice for me. Loving this new watch.

Also, the lume on this watch is a freakin TORCH! Just cupping my hand over the dial in the daylight show a glowing set of markers!

This strap deal is gonna get expensive! (TedSu hornback is on the way!) :)

Nice going Bronco! The 312 is fantastic IMO - a real combination of classic looks with modern internals. Great stuff!

Bronco that buffalo strap is awesome!!! Glad you're enjoying it! You're going to enjoy the strap experience with owning a Panerai. I totally agree that the contrast between the brushed case and polished bezel sets that watch apart from everything else.

Congrats on the new piece. It's definitely one of my favorite PAMs and I hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as I do mine!

There are at least three reasons why I don't think that I could get bored with this watch:
1) the sandwich dial is just so stinkin cool and really adds a new dimention to a watch face
2) unlike a 112 this one has the moving seconds like a 111, so there is a noticable moving hand
3) new strap = new look. Get tire of one look, change the strap.... :)

*edited the typo on model numbers, above :)

@BroncoSport

Congratulations on your new watch, I'm also getting my first Panerai which should be with me on Wednesday and its a 2010 Pam 111 but could you please explain your point 2 as the Pam 111 has an even larger moving seconds sub dial that actually replaces the 9 position with a moving hand so am a little confused by what you mean by your comment maybe I'm missing something.

Congrats Bronco...it looks great on your wrist!!! I love the 1950 brushed case on the 312. I am seriously considering this one for my next Panerai.

Dogmann I miss typed the model numbers. You are right the 111 has the moving small seconds too. The only big difference between the 111 and the 312 (as far as the dial) is the inclusion of a date complication in the 312.

Congrats Bronco on the 312, it looks great. That's a nice brown strap you've got as well. I always liked the OWM JV strap until I got one. If you get a chance, check that strap out. It's a suede gold gator that looks better with age. I didn't have the patience to age mine though so I sold it.

nice watch
