This one arrived today and I have to say when I first opened the box I thought bloody hell, what have I done? I've bought a bloody great dinner plate!!
It's only 47mm but compared to the Super Avenger's I used to own it dwarfs them!
However, once I'd taken it out, peeled off the protection, removed the tag and got over the fact that the vintage strap is still loosing it's top coating (something I wasn't expecting but is absolutely logical when I think about it) I really like it.
I gave the venerable ETA 2824-2 a couple of turns and it sprung in to life, stopped it dead on the 12 o'clock position and set the hours and minutes and synchronised it (aren't we all just so anal!?).
It took me a bit of fiddling to get the strap keepers comfortable and the trick is not too have it too tight, it's so bloody big there's no room on my wrist for it to go anywhere!
The matt black dial actually looks chocolate brown in contrast with the 'vintage' cream lume, and the lume, wow, you'd never believe it would glow like that! I'm a geek and my computer case is a display one with 4 UV tubes in it and it's great for charging lume, you can actually see it go from cream to green.
It wears very big, but being titanium it's as light as a feather.
