Hey everyone...

I've been watching a lot of "24" lately....(I know i'm a little bit late). I'm on season 5 & i noticed Jack bauer is wearing this watch...

What do you think of this watch? is it worth the money, has anyone here ever owned/tried one?

Thanks!

i have no experience with the brand but based just on looks i think that it looks like a very rugged sporty watch. at the price point i think that it might be a bit expensive for what it is. if you are looking for something that you can wear everyday and has that milatary look may i suggest an all black g shock? they can take a beating and are a fraction of the cost.

Hi Mr Boogie,

I owned one of these, also because of the "24" connection. It was a great watch at a great price. It comes in a huge black plastic water proof case. It is quartz, which is the reason I ultimately sold it. I loved the two settings for the in built light. Apparently, the brightest of the two couldbe seen for miles on a dark night.

Great watch at a great price in my opinion.

Thanks for your input ricardo...It seems like a very cool watch...

I don't know why but I can't see the pics you posted.

did you have it on a bracelet or velcro band & was it comfy?

Thanks a lot. :D

The pictures are there so I don't knwo what you need to do to see them.

Sadly, the MTM Black Ops was quite uncomfortable on the bracelet due to the fact that the inscription on the case back was quite deep with sharp edges. These dug into the back of my wrist and could make it sore with extended wear. A case back sticker cured this though.

I also had the velcro strap. This folded under the case like a NATO styled strap so there were no issues with discomfort.

My only other criticism of this watch is that it does not have a sapphire glass.

I bought an MTM for my brother a couple of years ago. My brother was a U.S. Marine for 8 years and now works for the U.S. govt in security.

The bottom line is that it's a cool watch, but it's a lot of money for what it is. Based on my brother's feedback, it will take a beating, but it looks like it's taking a beating...and if you're going to pay that much money for a watch that has much cheaper rivals, then you should buy the cheaper rivals. MTM is catering to the military vets who want a military-style watch, but won't actually be abusing them.

I came across this watch today...almost half the price, & looks quite as nice. What do you think?

Its the Traser P6600 MIL-G. by the way.
