Hey guys, I'm getting my watches insured thru my insurance company and they're asking for an appraisal. So I was looking into this and it seems ADs charge anywhere from $50-$100 to do an appraisal. I didn't purchase the watch from my local AD, so I understand them charging for this service. I just wanted to check with you guys to see if this is in line with what you guys have experienced. Please share your experiences. Thanks. |

Maybe you can try to get in touch with the AD that you bought it from (assuming you bought it from an AD). The appraisal just states the list price, so no inspection is technically required. |

Yeah I would just try and convince your insurer to accept a price list - if it's ensured for replacement value that should be fine. |
