My girl an I took a weekend trip to Dallas for Valentines Day and while we were shopping at North Park Mall. We stopped in Eiseman Jewels, and were helped by a middle aged woman named Karen. I have to say I did not expect her to be much more than a jewelry pusher, but I was proved wrong as she was very knowledgeable about Breitling as well as several other brands (more on these later)

Anyhow, I wanted to go over some of the highlights because it isn't everyday a kid from the sticks gets to go window shop some of these models.

First things first....The Navi 01 as mentioned recently on a few posts does seem to wear the same as the smaller Navi. I was not really blown away, or shall I say I could not differentiate the two. I love the Navi design regardless of movement. Unfortunately this model is now going to be harder to get into as the 7750 is to be discontinued.

Secondly, the lady tried on the SOH 38 we had looked at and she loved it. It did look pretty cool on her.

I went to the Ulysse Nardin counter and was not really that impressed. I always looked at UN as being very similar to Breitling but a bit higher up in the market. I looked at the Maxi Marine and the Chronometer, but was not blown away by either.

I was most excited about seeing the JLC counter and was immediately drawn to the Master Grande Ultra Thin in Pink Gold. If we are talking classic dress watches this thing has to be in the mix. It was so thin it was like nothing was even there. The whole Ultra Thin line was cool but I could not take my eye off the rose gold version (Bling doesn't always come in the form of dinner plate diamond bezels) At $13,000 it is quite cost prohibitive at the time, when the time comes to add a gold dress watch this one would be tough to beat.

Finally, while at the JLC counter the sales woman pulled out the JLC Master Grande Tradition Minute Repeater. Holy Cow!!!! That thing was the most amazing piece of horology I have ever seen or really could even imagine before actually holding it. It was so hefty and robust it was hard to imagine the amount of engineering going on inside the case.

Anyhow all in all I had a really great a informative trip. Anyone in the DFW are would be doing themselves a favor if they stopped by
