it seems like the rotor on my Omega speedmaster is loose. whenever I shake the watch back and forth with the dial facing my ear (gently of course), I can hear the rotor touching the case back. Is this a normal sign? I have never own any other chrono before, so this is new for me. Anybody out there has any other ways to confirm whether or not it is a loose rotor? James |

It's normal to hear some noise as a result of the rotor winding. Each watch has its specific sound and feel. My guess is this is your first auto? A rotor hitting the caseback would have a very jarring sound and feel. If the automatic winding is malfunctioning, you'll see the watch wind down eventually. If you wear it every day and it still winds down the watch might need some attention. |
