Thought this would be interesting to get peoples thoughts on...

Kinda like when they say "if you had to *uck one, marry one, kill one...as far as woman go...

Why not do something similar with watches but obviously the terminology would be changed.

I'll start...Hmmm....

Break one (aka: never see it again)... The classic Rolex Submariner just too typical for my liking
Wear one for 24hrs... Gold Breitling for Bentley Mulliner Tourbillon... I had to :D
Wear one for the rest of my life... Chronomat B01(versatile and a great all around watch that can be worn for just about any occasion IMO)

How about you?

break one - Panerai (too friggin' big. so if I can't wear one, it's break 'em time)

wear one for a day - I'll go with Serg, my pick is JLC Hybris Mechanica SS

wear one for life- Hmmm... I'm sticking with the JLC Master Compressor Chrono 2 with the quick change for the bracelet and straps. Now if JLC would just deliver on the short straps and bracelet I ordered like 2 months ago, I'd be set.

Of all the watches out there you could break, you choose the Sub? You must really hate it!

For me:

Break - tough one, maybe that Chanel 'dive watch' with only 50m WR
Day - Greubel Forsey Quad Tourbillon
Life - probably Rolex Sub or SD (not the Deepsea though, I actually considered that one for the 'break' category!)

Break: Any 'skeleton' watch

Wear 24hrs: This is very tough, there isn't a watch out there that comes to mind. I wouldn't mind wearing a Breitling Navitimer World though.

Lifetime: My coral SO (sentimental purposes)

 Nope, had a GMTIIC and SD (still got 'em both).

Wasn't entirely serious with that last comment, but I had in mind the Watch Snob's comments on the DS ("It is oversize, overspec’d and overpriced. To us purists, it’s an abomination, the tragic offspring of the best line of diving watches in the world. It never should have been made. Do yourself a favour and buy a secondhand Sea Dweller while you still can, as that is the last great Rolex diving watch.")

Break one - Jacob and Co over the top diamond pieces

Wear one 24 hrs - some patek minute repeater ( dont even know what the minute repeater does it just sounds cool)

Wear on for lifetime - probably a Pam 312 the watch has good wrist presence and just seems to go with everything.

Wear one 24 hrs - Vacheron Constantin Tour de l’Ile

Wear on for lifetime - Rolex Submariner or Breitling Emergency with UTC in coral edition (which I both have so me happy :D )
