I couldn’t resist this deal. My first gold dress watch. 40mm, antique opaline white dial, a dual time, and a flourished day/night indicator. All on a gorgeous brown alligator strap with rose gold bi-fold spring loaded deploy.

And made by one person sitting at one bench, beginning to end. My new (to me) Blancpain Dual Time.

(the Skyracer is DEFINITELY going back on the FS thread now!!!)

Very nice Tom, and something completely different for your collection. I really love the look of gold dials with brown gator straps.

Congrats on a great addition!!!

Gosh, that is amazing. Look at the detail on the day/night (misread this at first glance! That's even cooler and a more unusual complication), and it's DB, too... Generally not a fan of gold watches, but this is incredibly understated and elegant, and looks perfect with the brown (croc? The scales look teeny for alligator, if they are gator it looks like a really good skin) strap. I bet the quality of detail on this is absolutely superb, you're a very lucky guy. Enjoy and wear it in good health! :)

Very nice! I'm not personally a fan of YG watches but, you can't go wrong with practically anything from Blancpain. Now you just need a FF. Congratulations on yet another great piece. You are definitely moving up-market!

Terrible lighting - it's actually rose.

How does the day/night indicator work? Does it switch to night at the same time everyday? I've never seen one before and I'm curious as to how it operates.

 I suppose the part where you explicitly said "rose gold" should have cleared that up for me.

Yeah. The hour hand only moves with the crown pulled out to the first stop. So you set the time and the date with that. And of course you can go forward or backward. The hour and minute hand set at stop 2. And the day/night - moon, stars/sun - move as well. As does the second time zone at 12. The applied rose gold arabics are lume filled but apinted over white so as not to give off a greenish tint, except when needed. The bifolds on the clasp do not snap in, rather they are spring loaded somehow. All in all pretty cool.

To me, this is just the bomb.

I had a dressy Blancpain a while back and it looks like these two might even share the same case style. The finishing on these things is superb. Big congrats on the pickup.

Nice! They also had a pre-owned Leman chrono alarm that was cool, but too busy on the dial IMO. It's nice thinking that one man (woman) saw the assembly of this watch through from day 1 to finish.

Fantastic pick up sharky! The level of finishing and movement on these watches is remarkable, Blancpain really is an understated brand.

That specific model is very versatile, its both dressy and the hands add a touch of a Sporty air to it. I have become more interested in extremes over versatility but would have loved to pick something like that up. Congrats again!
