The 380 is unbelieveable value!! A great introduction to Panerai and an excellent everyday watch.

The 386 is superb value!

I really fancy one of them, and the good news is it's a regular edition, so they won't all be sold out in the first 30 seconds of being released! :thumbsup:

The Bronzo looks great value too.

BTW I wonder if the pics you posted Altair are pre-production pieces. Only asking as none of the Luminor models seem to have the quick change strap mechanism. Very odd.

Good info there Altair as always, and a good point about the 386's weight!

Now I freely admit I'm certainly no authority on Panerai models, so feel free to shoot me down on this, but why isn't the 386 considered a contemporary model as it's basically a composite 312? :huh

Looks like zero chance of me getting a 382 through Toronto's (and Ontario's) only AD so I guess I'm waiting a couple of years for resale. :evil:

These prices do seem remarkably reasonable, and while I don't want to turn this into another pointless debate about the reasoning behind Breitling's pricing decisions, when you compare prices between the two brands it's very telling. We all know that Panerai aren't my favourite brand, but the value for money really seems to be there in a number of these pieces - even knowing that you will have to pay close to list.

The 386 is the Composite version of the 312; that's a beautiful piece and at a very reasonable price!!! Do you have a price on the 384? Which is the ceramic version of the 268? I'm expecting the 384 to be a little more expensive since it has an 8 Day Movement.

Well Martin's pics are finally up, and damned if they dont look even better! The Bronzo is killer! I love the grayish green dial! So understated! Well as understated as a green dial bronze 47mm PAM can be Of cource, the Base 1950 is still the star of teh show! Damned if that Plexi doesnt look amazing! Whats better than a Fiddy? A composite Fiddy with a modern movement! Really torn between these two Rose Gold models, one is a dressier 42mm the other is a 47mm but with the brown dial. And this one seemed to get some press as well: And finally another excellent watch, the new Chrono is a stunner!

Man i love that bronzo. The little discolorations around the bezel markers give just a hint of the future patina. What's the word on price (US)?

Very odd. None of them will have the quick change system since they are Historic models and that system is only available in the contemporary collection. I agree that the 386 is great value, especially since you can expect to get at least a 20% discount since its regular production. But I would think this watch is not for you as composite is quite light, lighter than Ti even, and I remember you are quite adamant about weight. That 305 in Ti you tried would be much heavier since its bigger and Ti!! These are all the prices that have been confirmed yet, the rest are speculation.

The 386 will have the quick change strap system and it is a contemporary model, I thought you ment the Luminors in this post, sorry! About the weight issue, as someone who was also obbsessed about weight I just have a little bit of experience to share. I have found that watches only feel too light initially, especially so at the AD. Once you wear a lighter/heavier watch for a while it ceases to be an issue. Balance on the other hand is a big issue for me.

I think Breitling might be trying to place themselves higher in the watch industry now that they have an in house movement, and pricing is one way. I think we might see some clamping down on AD discounts and reduced production. By the way, dont know what you mean about paying for list! I can hook you up with my AD who gives great discounts even on Panerai.

Thanks Ahmed. I had already seen these pictures on another forum. The whole Paneristi world was waiting with baited breath for Martin's pictures of the new models and, as always, he didn't dissapoint. I have tried to contact my AD about getting my name down for the 372, 382 and 386. He says he can't do anything until a definitive UK price in £££s has been released. I think the Bronzo is my favourite, although I usually like my Panerais to have the iconic numbers on the dial. The 386 is my second favourite and the bargain of all the releases, in my opinion. The 372 is a superbly watch and historically accurate with some amazing details. I'd be happy with either so I am immensley jealous of you, Ahmed, for being on the list to get all three plus the new Ora Rosa Radiomir.
