Another arrival today, and after a few hours with it on my wrist I thought id share a few initial thoughts...

I have heard tons about the 351 and the 359 as they seem to be the hottest Panerais of the latest collection. I had seen both in pictures and had a very difficult time deciding which of the two Id snap up for my collection.

-The 351 stood out due to a few features that made it a nice addition to the collection;
-Tobacco dial - I had never seen a Pam w a tobacco dial so it would complement what I have.
-Strap - The oem strap is a nice burnt brown color that brings the dial out.
-Sandwich dial - Both the 359 and 351 have it, which is feature I love in Panerai.
-Ti and Steel combo - This is what attracted me the most, the combination of Ti and steel look pretty sharp. Makes it easy to dress up or down. Some complained about the light weight the Ti gives, but in my opinion the difference is minimal.
- Gold hands - This makes the dial in my opinion. The gold hands pop out.
- 3 Day power reserve - I did not find a guage to let me know how much power I have left.

At first I didnt fall in love as I thought it would so there is some time for me to adjust. The tobacco dial make it hard to match straps and tones down the wrist presence of the watch.
It is a nice looking watch, great piece put out by Panerai that Paneristi have wanted for quite some time.

The verdict is out weather this will stay or get shipped for a 359 but in my opinion this will be a popular model.

Very nice Rog...you sure do like your Gold. It looks great to me. I'm curious to see how it feels compared to the all SS case. I like the 359 a lot but it's a tad too busy with all the numbers. Tough call but I think you made the right decision. I hope you enjoy it! :panerai

Panerai has a rich history. Their collections have something for everyone. Their styles are so unique as well.
Once I picked up my first Pam, the 112, I was hooked.

Many Congratulations.

The 351 jumped right out of the 2010 catalogue at me when I first flicked though it.

I had a 312 and loved it but I really like the idea of the Titanium, brown dial and gold hands. It's a keeper in my opinion.

Could I please hassle you for a picture that shows the brown dial more clearly.

Beautiful watch Roger...I really like the gold hands, and the strap has a very rich look to it.

Congrats!!

Off topic...but with all the Panerai talk and pictures recently it would be cool if we could morph the BSource and PSource sites together!! :panerai

Nice pickup Roger. I know the 321 and 347 have the 3 day power reserve on the dial, but in my opinion it clutters up the dial.

I totally agree. And the 320 has a power reserve but it's actually located on the back of the movement so you have to look through the displayback to see the power reserve.

Send me your email, I got a pic as close as I could get to the true dial color.
