Thanks for the heads up Justin. Here is my next grail for 2011..The Panerai 384. The Ceramic version of the 268 WITH NO CYCLOPSE!! and it's gorgeous. I told myself that my next Pam would be a ceramic and this is the one!

I agree that its a great watch, the lack of cyclops and the uniformity are a huge plus. Too bad it got overlooked due to the more interesting models released this year.

Here is a great post with all the new releases:

No problem man. I was drooling on my keyboard looking at Panerai's site and saw that and I immediately knew you'd have to have it. More importantly, when the hell did a TravelTec make it into your sig :?:

I still want that 372, Plexiglas or not that thing is perfect.

One site said retail will be approximately $14,700

Wow they did a great job with their new models!!! Very impressive. That's how it's done, no gimmicks with neon colors, just beautiful pieces with different materials, a new in house movement, and new case designs. Very very nice job!

The first Panerai I'm actually properly interested in and it's a 45mm. Probably for the best, since the list price makes me wince.

That said, it's really a beauty-- love the treatment of the strap; it gives it a very unique finish. It looks so much better without the cyclops, and aesthetics on the power reserve are really attractive (not to mention the fact that it's probably the most useful of complications, after the date function). Looking forward to seeing some wrist shots when someone here picks one up, which I'm guessing is bound to happen.

Exactly, maybe Breitling should hire someone away from Panerai to start slapping people around. :guns:
I also really like the Black Seal Logo(380), very classy looking. And that Composite Luminor Marina (386) is another one I keep thinking about. 15 new models and I want 4 of them, I'm screwed. :(

The 369, 378, 386 are ones I wouldn't mind owning.

Not necessarily my style, but I do like the piece.

I'm also thrilled that they got rid of that cyclops over the date - it kept me from buying some other PAMs sooner.

Actually I like the cyclops - it's good for us more "mature types" because Panerai has the smallest type face for that date window. :huh

It is one thing I don't quite get - I suppose the date is irrelevant to many today, but I still have the habit of referring to it most every time I sign something. The only type of cyclops that bugs me are above the crystal like on Rolex.

This is certainly an interesting watch - no doubt.

If these are available from the grey market dealers about the $10k mark (which I imagine they will) - ill trade my 292 against it.
