Hi Lingsperts! Would you buy a watch with "open paperwork"? More to the point, what is "open paperwork"? I am guessing the watch comes with a blank warranty booklet (i.e. no AD stamp and date of purchase). I am also guessing that this decreases the value of the watch. Any comments welcome. Yes, I would buy a watch with ˝open papperwork˝, but if the only thing which is open is date of purchase. Without AD stamp warranty it's worth nothing. Some AD give that privilege to their regular customers in order to prolong the warranty. |

Yes, under the same circumstances as bnewbie states. However, if the watch is more than 2 years old the warranty won't apply anyway, so if that is the case I'd also consider a missing AD stamp. But as in any case, buy the seller, then the watch... |

Thanks guys, That makes sense. I'd seen one advertised elsewhere yesterday with this description. I won't be going for that one but this information will be valuable in the future. Thanks aleister: I am certainly following that advice! There are many sharks in this swimming pool!!!! ![]() |
