About two months ago I finally caved in and bought a Rolex that doesn't look like a Rolex. It is the 116000. Mine is stainless steel, smooth bezel and inside all the way around is inscribed Rolex and the serial number. The dial is what caught my eye. Smooth black with two inner concentric circles in orange. In the space between the two circles " offically certified oyster chronometer perpetual chronometer". The five minute markers are Arabic with the 3-6-9 in a larger font. There is no date nor day. The crystal is smooth and free from distractions. The bracelet is a 19mm and comfortable. Rolex says it is a new design, it is, but I won't even attempt to describe it. The end pins are concealed, it looks like a typical oyster bracelet except in the clasp design. I really like this watch of every Rolex I've owned. Understated, yes for a regular Rolex. But I'm spared the embarassment of having some idiot making a grab for my wrist and asking, is that a Rolex? It sits nicely with my Rolex Oysterquartz ref 17000 and a ref 17013, 18 kt silver bezel. In this information age I really don't need a date or day in my watch(s). :santa:

That's ironic. I bought my newest Breitling specifically because it has a day/date feature. I always need to be reminded of the date, and sometimes the day too; it's way easier just to look at my wrist than to have to make a grab for the cell phone.

Welcome to the site. I just googled the 116000; pretty nice, from what I can tell, although at 36mm, that's too small for my preferences. Does it have a name? I can't find it on Rolex's website. Feel free to post some pics, if you have any.

Same here, I NEED a date complication on my watch. I have a couple of cheapo watches without a date and can't stand it. It's to the point that I can't write the date without looking at my watch.

Don't even need a watch as far as that goes. :)
Any pictures?
