Alexey Asvarisch is an Russian watchmaker.. I´m new to watches, so I havent heard about him.. But I found a watch made by him on an auction I think is quite nice. stainless steel, saphire glass, automatic, power reserve, date, day and month as you can se on the images. http://lauritz.com/Item/Item.aspx?LanguageId=5&ItemId=1262929&nBids=5&ReturnUrl=http%3a%2f%2flauritz.com%2fItemList%2fItemList.aspx%3fLanguageId%3d5%26DC%3d1%26CPIn%3d0%26ISz%3d0%26PSz%3d30%26PSzG%3d6%26SO%3d3%26ST%3d0%26TTyp%3d0%26TVal%3d0%26FLId%3d5%26FCId%3d6%26FText%3d%26LLan%3dFalse%26STA%3d2%26IgId%3d117%231262929EndTagRU (wow thats a large link..) Some more information: I can´t seem to find anything on the internet.. Just some auctions (general auctionhouses like ebay) and one place where it was a award in a non prof. golf championship... So it seems to me that Alexey Asvarisch is rubbish.. |

Are you sure it´s chinese? The auctionhouse (and this house tries it best to be serious) states that it´s russian produced. But they have been wrong before.. |

I saw a "frank mueller" (sic) with the same dial/movement for $20 in rome, the rotor has a plate glued onto it with whatever you like stamped into it....look more closely and the cheapo movement is retained by a plastic ring. at least its not a fake, just a cheapo....bit like the klaus kobec sunday supplement watches......sell for £100-150 cost around $15 for the watch and the same for the box!! I may be wrong......but I don't think so, you will find the chrono pushers actually move the day and month wheels (I've seen the same movement in the cheapest bentley fakes) |

Occasionally you will see random makes suddenly turning up and alleging a long and esteemed heritage of watchmaking, only to find out that they are in fact..... total shite! ![]() |
