And it is going to be an agonizing three weeks untill my AD gets the delivery for my piece  But still, my first tourbillion

I have to say it was tough to sign the check with that amount! The thing cost me what a medium sized luxury BMW would  BUT I am excited as I have ever been!!! Only one member here has been privy to my plans, but all will be revealed soon!

On the plus side, it takes up less space around the house, and the insurance/running costs will probably be lower? :D

Looking forward to seeing what you got!

Congrats Altair.

I guess I am the honoured individual to be privy to your plans, but I won't spoil the surprise. I'm glad that you managed to get the deal done, and it's a great piece.

This made me smile because I thought "I've got one up, horologically speaking, on Altair because I already have tourbillon". Ok, so it only cost me the equivalent of a service on a medium sized luxury BMW........

Image

It was issued to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the British Horological Association, of which I am a member. The BHI did a great job of putting this timepiece together for the money. It is a chinese movement but I have to say it has remained accurate and reliable over the last two years.

Anyways, Many Congratulations. I can't wait to see what you are picking up and read your review. Do you have anything in your collection that will allow you to do one of your excellent Comparison Reviews.
