May I invite you all to read a review I have written on a Patek Phillipe exhibition I was fortunate to attend last week.

Unfortunately, I cannot post it on this forum because there are far too many images attached.

So, please follow the link below if you are at all interested in, arguably, the highest quality watch brand in the world:

Thanks for the entertaining review Ricardo! The styling and aesthetics is not for me (at this time), but I can certainly appreciate the refinements and class!

Curious, did the Pateks feel different to you, knowing that they were dummies?

All of the watches felt very nice on the wrist. I have only tried a couple of Patek Philippes on in the past and that was many years ago so I don't have the real thing to compare against.

It didn't affect my feeling towards the watches knowing that the movements were dummies.

You still get a great sense that Patek Philippe are at the top of the game with regards to quality and innovation.

Thanks a bunch Ricardo!

That looks like an amazing location and of course some of those watches are just mind blowing.

Nice one Ricardo! Great words as ever.

Would you believe I went to a Patek event the other week too. It was arranged by one of the AD's I use down here in the New Forest, and was a very nice event. It looks like they had pretty much the same collection (including the dummies) at yours as they had at mine. The £175K Celestial is superb though isn't it.

I must be honest but until that event I wasn't really much of a Patek fan. Sure, I totally respected their quality and innovation, but the styles kind of left me a little cold. HOWEVER, after trying a few on, I've really started to get a feel for them. I'm still not a major fan of the very small pieces, but some of the larger ones are fantastic and actually fit very well.

I didn't post anything about it the event here as I didn't take a single picture and even if I had they'd have been fairly rubbish anyway!

Oh, by the way, did you pick up the catalogue? What a superb book that is! The best catalogue I've ever got hold of.

You've gone to some awesome events recently....IWC, now Patek...very nice, you're a lucky guy. While Pateks aren't my style, I think they're exquisite timepieces...second to none. Thanks for sharing.

Great review Ricardo and superb pictures, thanks for taking the time!

Your pictures really hammered home a lot of my views of Patek. I really like some of the designs and equally, really dislike others. Not many brands bring out this polarization I've noticed but Patek definitely do. One day I'd like to add one to the collection.

I recently got to visit the Patek store in Bond Street and try on one of my "grail watches"-- the Ladies Complicated 4958, on bracelet. Fortunately they did not have the dial/strap combination I desire so I didn't have to try to re-mortgage my house to bring it home! You're right, though, they feel absolutely incredible on the wrist, and they're just beautiful timepieces.

Some of the ones you have photographed are just stunning, especially the one you've got labelled as Small Perpetual. Like you, their complicated watches are really wow me and some day I hope to own one. Suspect it will be a really long time, though...

Thanks for the very interesting and informative review and lovely photos, you clearly appreciate them a lot and I hope you're able to lay hands on a non-dummy version sooner than you think! :D

I went to the exhibition held by Berrys at Pennyhill Park Bagshot last Sunday. A remarkable way to spend a couple of hours. The watches were wonderful, everyone was very hospitable and accommodating. The England rugby team stay there and were hanging around too.

Your pictures are great Ricardo, it did not occur to me to take a camera. I did acquire a 2010 hardback brochure and a pair of gloves.

Ricardo, thank you for sharing your experience and photos with us, as well as a smashing write up of the event and some of the tidbits of information you gleaned from Mr. Miller. I am a virtual newbie WIS compared to many of the wizened folks that lurk in the shadows here, but I am really enjoying learning something from each of you. This was very educational for me about a line I am not very familiar with and really only thought of as a "Fashion" line, rather than a representation of one of the finest innovative horological companies in existence. I've not really had a chance to look them over and by the sounds of it, I will never be able to afford one either. That being said I reckon I will have to stop in a shop that offers them just so I can come to appreciate and educate myself further on their line of products. Thanks again and good job on your review.

Great pics. Ive never really been a fan of the Calatrava style PPs, but I really like some of those Aquanauts.

Thank You all for Your kind words.

I only intened on writing a short piece to accompany the pictures. However, I just kept writing as I had more and more to say about this wonderful brand and collection of timepieces. So apologies for the far from concise report.

@Driver. I did indeed get the gorgeous Patek Philippe book. I agree that it is the best watch catalogue I have ever seen.

I've been reading over the last week and I SO much want a Patek Philippe. I need to be patient and I'm sure it will happen. As a WIS I feel that I should at least own one of the complication watches from arguably the highest quality manufacturer available. Maybe for my 50th Birthday. I turned 40 this year. :(
