Ok, this is it...the last watch purchase for a very long time. I recently ordered the IWC Yacht Club but due to some unexpected delays with the delivery from Switzerland I have now found a new love....the Panerai 268. I have wanted a Radiomir for a very long time and I want it to have an in house movement with a sandwhich dial...and the 268 fits all my needs. A lot of people hate the cyclops but I happen to like it.

I already have a Luminor 312 and want a Radiomir to complete my Pam-ollection. Should I go 268 or stick with the Yacht Club? The Yacht Club is a beautiful watch, sporty & classy, and I really want it to be my first IWC but the Pam is driving me nuts. What to do...what to do??

Yacht Club my friend. The 268 is AWESOME, but.... the Radiomirs (not necessarily the 268 though) are out there. the IWC YC on the other hand is something very unique.

IWC all the way. Stick to your guns. Plus you already have a PAM. The IWC will round out your collection nicely.

You are starting to go the way of sharkman. :nana:

Btw, hell of a win last night!

I cant hang with the Shark...he has a money tree growing out there in the warmth of the Phoenix sun.

That win last night was amazing!!! That's a series changing win IMO. We win today and I'll feel very good. :cheer:

You know that I love the PAM, but dude, that Yacht Club is on a whole other level. In my mind the PAM can't even hold a candle to the Yacht Club. I can't think of any more cliches to express my opinion, either one would be a great addition, but the Yacht Club is just....well, I don't know, but it's "Friggin Sweet", to quote a very wise man.

Serge i agree with the boys on this, stick with the IWC yacht club. IMO the IWC seems a bit more versatile. Plus the fact that you have a 312 (i would love to add that watch in to my collection) makes that IWC seem so much more appealing.

if sharkman does have a money tree what does one have to do to get some seeds? we have money trees here in BC but they usually grow marijuana...lol

I stand mute on the subject of which one.

As for the money tree, I'm starting to feel they may have paved paradise and put up a parking lot. Doo-da-da..

I'm sticking with the Yacht Club. I'm going to wait until next year to pick up a Radiomir. That will give me plenty of time to find the perfect one since I'm still unsure on which Rad I want.

NOW...as soon as the YC gets through customs and to the AD it'll be mine! :woohoo:

Tough call IMO - the 268 beats with the heart of a 233 which is very special. Panerai's very first in house movement.

The 268 is not particularly popular though (unlike the 233 which is incredibly popular). In this case, i'd go with the IWC.

Though I must say the pricing i've seen being asked of them is a little too high and i'd be going for the 7 Day Porto for ~$7k.

I agree with Jay, if you wanted a rad how about the new model in 47MM with the circular power reserve and no cyclops? much nicer IMO.

As for that IWC, not a big fan, doesnt feel like a Port to me, I preffer the classic models myself.

I've seen the 323 that you're referring to. I actually posted it in my Grail thread last month but I can't pull off the 47 mm. I also considered the 232 which is less expensive but once again 47mm. The 190 with JLC movement also caught my attention but I didn't like the gold hands.... maybe Panerai's new p.3000 movement will make it's way into some sub 10k rads next year, then I can make a move.

@Jay. I think the 7Day Ports are awesome but I have a few other go-to dress watches that I prefer to the 7Day...I don't see it as being a sport watch which is what I'm after. I think I'd even go Big Pilot ahead of the 7Day. I actually gave the BP some serious consideration before deciding on the YC.
