I gotta say I'm falling in love with this watch every day...

Anybody here know how much it costs roughly? and is it a durable watch?

Thanks!

I love that watch as well!!! Retail price is around $11k which I think is a bit much for a modified ETA movement....but I still love it!

I believe the top gun utilizes a modified 7750. I would rather get the aquatimer galapagos at half the price.

I have never seen this watch. WOW I like it very much!!!!!!!!! It's not, blacksteel, pvd, or dlc, or ceramic, it's actually stainless steel coated in vulcanized rubber. Very Interesting.

Doubt you'll get one of those for the same money. That, if I'm not mistaken, is the white gold Daytona.

But I get your point. I've always thought the Top Gun was a bit much, I like it but I'd rather have one of IWC's in-house offerings for that sort of price.

List price in 2009 was $6500 I believe. Need to replace that yellow sub-dial hand with some red ones. :poke:

Yeah that is a white gold daytona.. still near 3x the 11K mark.

As for the Top Gun, check out the 3789. Its just a basic, single chrono, in a 44mm Ceramic case and wears well! I was tempted at an AD in Alaska to pick one up! You can get one for nearly half the price of the 3799..

Another vote here for the 3789. I like it even more than the Top Gun.

:yeahthat
Or the 3717 albeit it's not all black. Much better value than the Top Gun IMO.

Love the 3789....there's just too many choices right now....Yellow Breitling Emergency, IWC, Rolex Daytona SS....etc etc!

The Top Gun is one awesome watch, but like pretty much everyone else has said, I can't justify the price for what it is. Great looking watch though that wears just as well.

The problem that I have with the 3717 is that wears SO small. Its a 42, but it feels smaller than my 40mm GMT II.. I tried out a 3717 for a while and it kind of killed me! I wish I would've just saved the time and made the move on the 3789.
