Question - which watch keeps the best time?

Protocol - All watches set to atomic clock and allowed to run continuously on the human subject's body or kept on watch winders. No watches allowed to run down for the duration of the test. After 7 days the timing results [most time spent on winders] were as follows –


Results -

16. Steinhart BS LE2 +9.3 secs/day :(

15. Steelfish (blue dial) +5.7 secs/day

14. IWC 7 Day +5.0 secs/day

13. Chopard MM Chrono +4.8 secs/day

12. (tie) Skyracer & IWC YC +3.8 secs/day

10. IWC Aqautimer +3.1 secs/day

9. Montbrillant Olympus +1.8 secs/day

8. Zenith Chronomaster +1.3 secs/day

7. PAM 320 +1.1 secs/day

6. Omega “Great White” +1.0 secs/day

5. Omega Planet Ocean + 0.86 secs/day

4. Breguet Type XXI + 0.7 secs/day

3. Boschett CaveDweller +0.4 secs/day

2. B1 -0.01 secs/day

1. Steelfish (white dial) DEAD ON :cheer: :bow: :cheer: :wowzers




Conclusion - The white dial Steelfish when worn on a "gold" OEM croco with an after market bifold clasp will keep ATOMIC time. :lingsrock: :wink: We don't know why, but our results and analysis are clear. :huh

So, Mr Shark, if you put the gold OEM croc on your other Steelfish it will keep atomic time too. :D

P.S.: My Alfex (yes, cheap swiss watch) was +15sec. I opened and regulated and now is about +2secs. :D

Ha! Very cool. I might challenge you on the use of TWO decimal points in the accuracy reporting. :poke: :wink: I might say that even a tenth of a second is difficult to "measure"

Might need to do a gage R&R on this measurement system!

I KNEW someone would say that. I'm just taking it to the second OVER A PERIOD OF 7 days and dividing by 7. Thus decimal points - some rounded up or down.

Engineers. Sheesh :wink:

Oh, and the B1 should have been 0.1, not 0.01. Rounded down from 0.14 mind you.

Jeez...it's not rocket science. 6 seconds fast over 7 days is +0.86 seconds per day....didn't think you had a high powered stop watch....like in the olympics...to gauge the accuracy.

I own a IWC Aquatimer and its just as accurate as my PO when I had it @ around 1-2 sec a day. The movement out of the bunch that I would accept better results from is the 7 day movement in the IWC. For an in-house movement its shouldn't be losing that much time.

Expressly? Yes. I thought it implied. And next week the Steelfish could be off. There are too many variables to draw conclusions, which is why my conclusion was intended as comical.
