I was just curious because I'm a regular here... first of all, I know how some members are very public about their collection , and some are not... and some regularly buy and sell so there is some rate of turnover in the watchbox... but just thought it would be respectable to keep it on the anonymous level. I also understand that me being a newly christened WIS (only two years now) and more particular into vintage pieces, my personal collection has grown quite a bit... I also believe that quality is more important than quantity but regardless we are all watch lovers here and I wanted to know where many of our members stand as in the number of pieces in one's collection... I guess to be fair we can count even the ones that don't receive any "love" ![]() |

I have two watches, the first and only two (nice) watches I've owned. |

I wish I had the funds to have 3 or 4 nice watches. I like to keep one watch , and that watch is used as a stepping stone to get a nicer watch once I am tired of it. You can only wear one watch at a time |

At one point I had about eight, and then my tastes changed, got rid of my quartz ones, (except for one as a beater) sold a few that I regretted buying, and it's been purely mechanical since. |

Ok ! I'll admit to owning seven ... All vintage, between the years of the late '40s thru the early to mid seventies ... Within that mix, are a couple of Seiko's that are "buttet proof" for wearing most work days ... a couple of 14k Accutron Spaceview duplicates because I happen to like them .. an 18k dress Omega with leather from the early 70's ... and then one or, two that I particularily like, one being a Rolex SS Oyster Date and my current fav' a vintage, late 1940's 18k Breitling Chronomat. |

It got up to 9 at one point, but it's back down to 6, not counting G-Shocks, Pathfinders, Luminoxes etc. |

I voted, and I'm guessing that everyone can guess where my answer went. |

I have a 4 pack right now, but I regularly wear only 3. However I feel like I could justify 7-9 pretty easily. |

what I would probably want to wonder is if all of our members threw our watches in one pile then how much money would it be... ![]() I would say about 60-70 million bucks? ![]() I'm just crazy like that... don't mind me... |

A couple of years ago I had about 20 watches, including a SuperAvenger and a Navitimer Olympus. All of those are gone now and I have five high end watches and four not-so-high-end watches. However, I'm working on a deal at the minute that could see me trade in two of the high end watches for a very high end Breitling. ![]() |

I think a good amount for me would be 12 high end watches, unfortunately I cant seem to get down to that amount anymore, just too many watches that I have that I am too attached to and a few out there that I really want and cant bring myself not to pursue, this has lead to some unfortunate sales, such as my recent sale of the Omega Ploprof which I really enjoyed, but couldnt justify keeping since I did not get that many chances to wear it and purchase the incoming piece I was pursuing. Already miss it! I know I know, poor me ![]() back to the point at hand, I am looking to stand at 16 high end in house movement watches, 2 ETA mainstream watches, and 4 lower end watches (Steinhart, Oris.) |

Well let's just say 12 less than a couple weeks ago and leave it at that. |
