I honestly can't answer that. They are both absolutely superb and stunning in different ways. I love both and I want both, but as I still have a deposit on a Ploprof right now I'd better go with that! But I want a SDDS soon after too!

I just wrote about how I don't like the Ploprof on another thread. I would go SDDS for sure. It looks great and can be worn for any occasion.

My voting for the Plo Prof may seem a little biased, because I own one.

However, I did purposefully look at both of these watches, side by side at the same AD, before I purchased the Plo Prof.

For me the Plo Prof won on design, attention to detail, price and the fact that it is so unique.

The DSSD is a brilliant watch and a fantastic acheivement (that WR in a mechanical watch) but the Plo Prof will always get my vote. Even if Omega increase the price to be the same as the DSSD.

DSSD. For me it's more stylish, while also clearly still a tool watch; smaller (important for me  ) and more subtle (except for the fact it's a Rolex - meaning wrist presense). I appreciate the PloProf but it's such a big, obvious, in-your-face tool watch that it would only be suitable for 'work' i.e. I'd struggle to wear one with a suit or even dressed down.

Those are my reasons. The one you like is far more important!

Not convinced I would want either, but out of the two I prefer the Deepsea as it's more conventional. Would like to handle a Ploprof just to see what the fuss is about. Must feel like a monster on the wrist

I'm really not sure. Probably my two favourite brands, but not my favourite models from either. I guess it would be the Deepsea, I think I'd get more wear out of it, but I'd vastly prefer a regular SD or Sub. On the other hand, I like the heritage aspect of the PloProf, which is more than I can say for that particular Rolex.
