Hey Guys, I really want a 47mm Panerai but they are so expensive. But i managed to get my hands on the gen infamous RXW MM20. I dont know what you guys think of it....its a rep...its a hommage of Panerai's original watch issued to the italian navy in the 1950's...at the end of the day its a stunning watch with swiss movement and awesome build quality. After this watch was banned and the maker sued Panerai brought out their version the 1950 Fiddy. as much as i would love a gen Panerai Fiddy i just cant afford one! Here are some pics of my Baby wearing Gunnys top strap the Mission Impossible 1 and a Heroic18 buckle. Check out the lume on this watch...its superb! What do you guys think? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nice looking watch with a very proven movement. I know you said you wanted a Panerai but the original ones are extremely hard to find and very expensive (from what I have read there were only around 300 or so ever made). Wear it in good health. Beautiful watch. |

Usually I'm not much of a fan of homage pieces made by other manufacturers, as they always strike me as being one step away from being a fake. However in the case of the MM20, I make an exception as the original Marina Militaire wasn't even a Panerai branded watch. Plus (if my memory serves correctly), the MM20 actually predates the Panerai 127 anyway. I've also read that the RXW MM20 more closely matches the originals case geometry more accurately than the "Fiddy" as well, so in terms of a faithful recreation of a vintage piece, the MM20 is right on the money. In this one and only instance I think it's quite a shame that the world of legal trademarks put an end to this watch, because it's a great piece. |

Don't let the Panerai peeps read this (quick, hide it). They think Panerai created horology. My opinion...Panerai's line(s) are a homage to the original Italian Navy watches. Eh, Panerai is a bought name anyways. I best change my name and move to a third-world country for saying that. |

First of all I did not give an "image" of a Panerai owner. I also didn't call anyone a snobby clueless idiot; nor did I say Panerai owners were not intelligent. |
