Since I am traveling a lot on an international basis and also need to work with people across time zones - not wanting to call at the wrong hour - I saw Vulcain as a brand with GMT city watches. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? Seem to have a limited dealer network here in Europe (none in Sweden) so a dealer visit is not easy. Pricing is decent and they recently were featured in a Watch Time GMT watch review. Any comments welcome!

Apart from the fact that they are the "Watch of the President" (and have been for the past 60 years or so) and that they run slow-beating (18,000 vph) in-house movements and like their mechanical alarms, then I don't know all that much about them I'm afraid. They have a good reputation though, and prices are not too bad IMO when you consider they are quite unique, especially with the mechanical alarm. Personally I think the "X-treme" automatic models are the ones to go for.

I like Vulcain a lot. I'm a personal fan of the various Heart watches - the open work style appeals. As Driver hinted at the prices are 'OK', if not spectacular.
