I'm working on a program to assist in verifying the accuracy of my watches. I began this project a long time ago on WatchUSeek, but was called away on "business," and never finished it.

Here's a screenshot, where I entered some sample data:

You enter the time and date when you set the watch (to Time.gov or the Navy Clock or whatever). In the third and fourth column, you enter the date and time when you check your watch. In the fifth column, you enter the variation from the actual time. The program then calculates the average daily variation of your watch. At the top of the worksheet, your average variation for all times entered is shown.

A spreadsheet like this eliminates the guesswork from checking my watches' accuracy. I don't have to make sure I check it at any particular time. I can do it whenever I think of it, and I can even wait a couple days between checks.

I'm interested in developing this program further. If anyone's interested in using this, let me know. I'd like to get ideas for additional features and interface design. I aslo need a name for this thing. The workbook is called "Watch Checker" right now, which is totally lame.

Interesting. Oddly enough I've been working with something similar. I'd be more than happy to give it a once-over!
