Every time I post pictures of this watch, I get positive comments and requests for a review, so here goes. The MMD has a 42.7mm stainless steel case, which is mostly polished. The watch wears much bigger than the 42.7mm size suggests, probably because the case is beautifully shaped around the dial and bezel. You can see a comparison on my wrist to the Steelfish:

The dial and hands are probably the most striking thing about this watch. The dial overall has a beautiful 'golf ball' guilloche pattern and the small second dial has a nice concentric circles:

The large hands large but are delicately made with thin wire outlines. The lume is large and lovely. This watch is very easy to read. The bezel has a wave pattern cast(I would guess) into it which matches the nautical theme:

One of the other features I like is the power reserve indicator:

The bracelet on this watch is one of the nicest I have. My only complaint is that has no fine adjustments. The center links are polished and the outer links are brushed. Each link has an unusual 'D' cross section.

Links are added and removed with screws. The second link nearest the head on each side has a distinctive UN anchor logo.

The clasp is a push-button style. It is substantial and shaped on the ends to resemble the links on the bracelet.

The watch uses a modified ETA 2892 movement. So far, it has kept great time. It looks great on the wrist:

Lastly, a lume shot. This watch has great lume.

Thanks for the review Dan, I saw a rhodium dial one of these on the TZ sales corner awhile back and had a very hard time resisting it. Even the black dial has been calling my name recently and I'm having a hard time fighting the urge.

I have admired this watch for a couple years. This exact watch: White dial, stainless steel bracelet. This watch is beautiful, and is a strong contender for my next purchase.

Thanks for posting. :)

ahhhhh.... stop rubbing it in! :) I love this watch and all its different versions. Very partial to this white face version though. Looks great and I was very surprised to see the Steelfish comparison. I would have never guessed that the outside diameter would appear to be bigger than the Steelfish. Great pics too.

Great photos and great review.

I love the dial textures that UN put on their watches, there's always some visual interest there. The under sapphire cyclops is also a great move.

Thanks for the updated review.

Watch looks very nice, has a 'sporty dress' look to it, something that I have been looking for recently (not to mention the WR). I tried one on at my AD a while ago and I couldn't get the rubber strap to fit well - the two titanium links were the issue. I definitely would like to try the bracelet - looks very sharp. I also liked the height on my wrist, 12.5-13mm I think, sits nicely.
I would have to decide between the silver or black dial, but hey, not a bad problem to have.

I'm normally not a big fan of the 'cyclops' date but this one seems more subtle and less obtrusive than the Rolex styles, I think I could handle it.

Great pics, looks good on your wrist!

The under-glass cyclops is a mixed bag. I definitely like it better than the external cyclops, but it does mean you have to look at it pretty close to straight on. You get a fair amount of distortion otherwise.

Really nice, but as you said those hands look pretty delicate.
