Hello all!

I'm left-handed but always wore my watch on my left hand. The problems come into play when I'm cooking or playing guitar. Since my watch is on my dominant hand it's alway near the action and always getting dirty. (especially when cooking) By the end of my shift my watch and wrist need a good cleaning. I would never wear my breitling to work but I wear my Boschett and Orange Monster all the time.

Hopefully I can get used to it on the other hand.

Thoughts?

I'm left handed and have always worn my watch on my right hand. Seems weird to do it any other way.

As part of my business I teach leadership skills andone of the topics that we cover is adapting to change. I always start the subject by having people who wear watches switch them to the other wrist (and do the same myself) as an example how something can feel so unnatural but within a short space of time begins to feel more natural. We only do it for an hour or so, but it's enough to get the point across.

There are some people though (probably 20% or so) who can't last that long and have to switch it back. I did get an e-mail from one student once who says that they still wear it on the other wrist.

Jefferson i can completely understand how you feel. Being a fellow south paw i find myslef having to be extremely careful while wearing my watch and doing daily activities. I have been thinking about the switch for a few months but have not plunged in to do it. I think i might just give it a shot today.

Another southpaw here. My entire adult life, until 3 months ago I wore watches on right wrist. The problem was that some of the larger chrono just looked stooooopid, IMHO, worn backwards. Knowing from personal experience that any change is possible, I resolved to bat from the third base side. I felt quite odd. And there were some growing pains - some soreness and mild dermatitis, but within a week it felt normal.

You can do it Jefferson, you CAN do it - :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: (but it will look stooopid if it's a chono :lol: )

I am a lefty as well, and have always worn my watch on my left wrist. It just looked odd to me when I tried it on my right wrist. I don't think I could convert to "the other side".

It would be nice not to have to take my watch off when I write for long periods of time though...

Why would you be surprised?? We are smarter and more successful. I'm sure the Timex forum is 99%+ righties.

If youre a lefty, it makes sense. Basic things like writing or using a mouse would just be a pain in the a$$.

I'm right handed, but thought I'd join the experiment. Just doing up the clasp on my right wrist was a major exercise!!!

I tried to join the Timex forum, they wouldn't let me :x (do you think there really is one? :? )

Actually, I'm right handed, and my right wrist is a good 0.25" larger than my left - which makes sense. I moved my watch over to my right wrist to try on watches at an AD and I had to adjust it to the next larger strap hole.

I'm a righty and mostly wear my watch on the left wrist, but occasionally switch to the right. No wrist discrimination!
