Well I saw one of these when I collected my Daytona, tried it on and have been a little smitten ever since. The problem I had was finding one in a condition I was happy with (fussy bugger me) I did find one but could not agree on a price :( Then out of the blue I PM'd a trusted member on another site asking about another watch and low and behold he mentioned that he had a certain watch JUST back that day from a movement service and was about to put it up for sale, needless to say it did not even make SC

Nice thick even lugs 8)

Both sides

Top and tail looking good

Back looking great

Check the date on the service papers

Looks good on a nato but comes with the correct bracelet and end pieces and also the Seahorse box :D 8)

And at a price that I think I can live with (affraid to tell SWMBO though  )

Now that is kickass Taffy! NICE man!!!!

If that watch was 44MM or I had smaller wrists I would be all over that. Congrats!

I haven't seen many NATO straped dive watches I like, but man that looks sharp.

Just in time for summer too.

Oh it will be off the Nato quicker than a whores bloomers  It has a mint correct bracelet and end pieces. I have been wanting a Red Submariner for ages but at over 7k GBP nowadays is a lot of money

Well looking again that nato does actually suit the watch and your right 7k is a lot of cash to lay down for your Submariner. You seem to like your Rolex's, what Breitlings do you have at the moment out of interest?

Cheers

Well done in adding one of these rare beauties to your collection.

I'd really like to see a picture of it on the SS bracelet.

I love the quote nearly as much as the watch! :crazychanger:

Enjoy It In Good Health!

Nice one Taffy! Those old Subbies have such a great side profile to them.

Personally I'd keep it on that "Bond" Nato if I was you. It just seems to suit the watch incredibly well, and anything that stops perfectly fine watches from be defiled by the tin-foil, sorry I mean <ahem> "classic" Rolex bracelets can only be a good thing in my book! :poke:

Very nice pickup though mate.

Congrats Mart, great pick-up. Looks like it's in fantastic condition.

I would love to have a red sub, or any 1680 really. There's just something about vintage subs.
