This has to do with the Sinn U2 I received 2 weeks ago today. It is consistently picking up 1+ minute/day which of course is unacceptable even in the "break in" period. I spoke to the North Amercia AD today - watchbuys.com - and they feel it's magnetized because it is "galloping" and was timed before it left Sinn. I don't feel it's galloping at all - it's keeping perfectly consistent time - at +1 minute/day.

Obviously this is on it's way back to Germany in a couple weeks. Does this sound like amagnetic problem to you, or is that what some watch companies use as an excuse for less than adequate quality control. (insert cynical smiley here) New to me.

I must say I do like the watch and whichever of you recommnded I get the metal bracelet in addition to the rubber strap it came with - nice call. The bracelet came today and it and the watch are on my arm now - connected and everything. :tard:

Gee, it's 2:30 ALREADY?!?

From what I understand and have read from other posts is that typically a magnetized watch picks up hours, not one or two minutes a day.

Thanks, that's why I thought the AD was off the mark. Seems more like a regulation problem to me.

It's possible for a magnetised watch to gain only a minute a day, but it's highly unlikely, it's just not a big enough gain - it does sound more like a regulation issue to me.

Don't be ridiculous! All I've been doing is getting a series of MRIs and surely that can't hurt the watch. Waddya think I am - stooopid or something? :?
