Hi,

soon i will be a happy owner of a seiko SD chronograph , but i'm really falter between two models.
They both have some pros and cons but its really hard to make the right choice here.
The black one with leather croco strap is PVD coated and is a limited edition up to 300 worldwide. This watch is really cool and has a classy sporty look and really flies under the rader.

The white edition has a stainless steel bracelet and has a sporty racy look, and is more in your face then the black edition.
So now is the question what should i do?.... i know its gonna be my watch, but the problem is they both speak to me :D in their own way  .
The pricing of both watches are the same :D .

Here are some pics:

I'm also curious why you pic one over the other, and yes i know its not a :lingsrock: .

thanks in advance,

Bryan

If the black is PVD rather than DLC then it's a no brainer - go white. PVD does not hold up well over time.

I also prefer the look of the white.

White. I like bracelets over straps.

Hi,

Thx for the replies guys, really appreciate it.
In februari this year it was the white dial version that got my attention at the AD when i walked by, from that moment it was on my mind until a week ago.
I saw some great pic's of the black one on the net and found out it was limited up to 300 pieces and really like the look of it, but if the PVD coating is inferior i would definitely go for the white version.

Is PVD coating really that bad???

Get the white one. It sounds like the limited status of the black one is a big part of what attracts you to it, but the novelty of that will wear off very quickly and youll just be left with a watch that you probably dont like as much as the white one.

Yes.

It's a lot more fragile than DLC and can even start 'peeling'

Hmmmm. Im confused. I thought that the Ananta was a quartz, but I see a normal automatic movement in that rear shot? So this is a mechanical watch? Spring drive?

There are automatic versions but the ones pictured are of the Spring Drive variety. The "Spring Drive" label on the 9 o'clock subdial is a dead giveaway

Also, the Anata automatics don't have a power reserve indicator.
