It's an anti-counterfeiting symbol like the little B used by Breitling.

Don't think it's on all watches and can be etched or engraved.

Thanks. Question, what is Omega's logic in not putting serial #s in the case back??

They put the serial number on the underside of the lug (at least in the case of the SMP) - which in my opinion is a better place to put it as replacing the entire case is harder than replacing the caseback, so making it harder for counterfeiting.

The symbol on the back of the watch is the letter Omega. Omega is the last letter of the Greek Alphabet, the logo is the same as how Greeks write the letter Omega.

Wow, I've been collecting for years and knew where Rolex, Omega, etc put the SN#'s but I never thought about why they did it. I feel stupid now, thanks a lot D
