as some of you may know on here, we have a family run jewelry store, we do not carry watches, mainly just deal with custom and high end orders. I myself mainly just know Breitling and Rolex, when it comes down to movements, really not my thing as far as the knowledge and history of them. Long story short a customer came in with an "estate lot" that we had purchased. In it were 2 watches, very old, one being a IWC Schaffhausen and the other an Omega Seamaster DeVille, both not working and in rough shape. We sent them to our watch maker, which immediately called us and said that the IWC had a rare more movement in it and was def worth some money. Also said the Omega was a great watch and of value, but more importantly was talking very highly of the IWC. We told him to do a total restoration on both watches, and to do whatever necessary to have them working again. I wish i had taken some before pictures, of what they looked like, but here are some pics of the IWC now. The face was literally pretty much brown before, and he did quite an amazing job If anyone has any information bout this movement and/or watch, id really appreciate it. Really interested to find out how old it is, and some other info bout it.........If wanted i can also take some pics of the Omega, he also did an amazing job on that as well Much thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sorry for the bluntness, but it's a horrible redial... movement looks okay though... I believe the caliber 8521 was a fairly common auto movement for the IWCs of this period... I'm guestimating around the 50-s to the 60s.... but the dial... again... |
