Jibba deapsea looks awesome too. I saw a couple of members on here that have some. Yeah YM2 is super pricey but deff something that not alot of people would have.

I love the YMII, but for the money, I would rather have 2 or 3 other watches.

And for what it's worth, the only watch I ever regret selling was the Deepsea.

I've never been a big fan of white gold. Why not just get steel? I know why but it seems silly.

Otherwise, very nice.

+1

I know that some people prefer the understated look - but that's what steel is for and more money for more watches.

I'm not a Rolex fan so it's not anywhere close to my radar, but for the money I could give you a list of 1,000 plus watches that would be higher up the list - no exaggeration.

You asked for honesty

I like it a lot. Not so keen on the white gold/price. Ive got nothing against white gold, I just wouldnt spend that kind of cheese on that watch. If they offered a steel version it would probably be on my wish list.

roff nothing wrong with that. that was completely honest.

RJ i agree with you if there was a steel version i think that it would be on my list too.

The YMII is the only Rolex other than the SDDS that I like......but the fact that it's available in white gold only totally writes it off for me, and not just because of the expense. Why the heck they still haven't brought out a steel version is beyond me.

The metal aside I think it's a fantastic looking watch. A steel version would be on my list without a doubt.

Same here. I do like the Yachtmaster. I think it's attractive and rather unique. I wouldn't get it in gold, though. It's a sporty watch, to be worn around water; I'd get it in steel.

I like most Rolex designs but hate the look of the YMII. Neither do I like Panerai, Big Bangs, Romain Jerome and many other designs but they clearly are highly attractive to others.

If you like it, why bother about what anyone else thinks. It's your money, go for it!

The YMII is one of the only Rolexes that I like besides the DeepSea and the Masterpieces. I would go for it not only because the design appeals to me but also because not many people have it. It might be an anomaly of sorts but it may be one of the only "rare" Rolexes under $50K. I prefer the yellow gold one but I think the white gold one looks good as well. It appears as if most traditional Rolex owners, like many of the ones you would find on TRF that love their DJs and Subs foster quite a disdain for the YMII, which makes me like it much more as well.

i read somewhere that ROLEX said that the target consumer for this is a person who could afford a yacht. i dont know maybe thats why they only released it in white gold?

i am with you guys though if it was in steel i think that it would do way better
