Sort of a weird brand. At one time they used to be a highly repected brand, but then something happened and their products and design got crappy. Ive recently seen a sort of re-vamp of the entire line with some VERY cool watches and movements. Only problem is that they are certainly priced accordingly (five figures). The previous generation of stuff can usually be found at very steep discounts--and by steep im talking like 80% off. |

Yeah I don't quite know what to make of them. Their high end pieces always excite me - The Eternal Gravity that they announced at Basel is an amazing piece, but I find that their street watches are always a disappointment after that and are priced ridiculously high for what they are. It's almost like two design teams - the main one that comes up with all of the tourbillon pieces and then the reserve team that flicks through watch magazines to find things to copy for the mainstream watches. Maybe slightly harsh, but you get my point. |

I bought my wife a 25mm 18K gold/diamond Saratoga. Mint secondhand. Not sure how old it is but what I do know is the case is made and finished to a very high quality. I believe it has a Swiss-made quartz movement. |
