Just seen this watch and was blown away. Is there a ranking of prestige/luxury watches? I know it would be subjective but where would U.N. and Richard Mille rank in the scheme of things ie against AP, Blancpain, VC, Rolex et al.

Posted about it when it was announced pre Basel.

I think it's an incredible watch, though a little pricey for me at $50k or do for the gold version, more for platinum.

Richard Mille is high end - I would put them higher than any of the brands that you mentioned - they are pretty small, but all of their pieces are complex pieces with leading edge materials and processes. I would put UN slightly below IWC as a range - may not be quite to IWC's standard in terms of quality and not as many in house pieces. However they definitely have some pieces that can compete with anyone, and of course they have the many variations on the Freak.
