Can someone tell me the connection between Tudor and Rolex. Probably a dumb question but could you help me out?

Subsidiary brand created by Rolex after WWII to sell at lower prices than Rolex.

Tudor is "the other" Hans Wilsdorf creation, and some Tudor models used to use Rolex Oyster cases and even Rolex branded bracelets and crowns for many years. This practice doesn't happen now and Tudor are quite distinct in their own right. The name incidentally comes from the fact that Hans Wilsdorf's first company was launched in England and he wanted to pay tribute to that in some way, and thus selected the Tudor period in English history.

The main difference has always been what goes on inside the case. Tudor use modifed ETA movements, while Rolex use their own in-house movements.

(As an aside, if it wasn't for the weird hands, I'd have a Tudor Hydro 1200 in a shot!)
