Well purchasing watches- decent ones is like an addiction. Gives you heaps of highs, costs you thousands etc etc.

I just purchased my BO1 and now Im on the lookout for my next purchase. Iwas intending on a SA but have decided that I wont get it because the watch would look to big on my wrist, the BO1 is a big enough watch.

So whats your next purchase in waiting:

For me I have to say that the IWC Yacht Club is the one I want. Its full steam ahead in terms of me trying to finance it, but I want it ... what can I say Ive caught the watch collecting bug... as I said its an addiction!

Its definitely an addiction. Mine is currently under control, so I have no next purchase planned...yet :geek:

I'm heading overseas in May so I'm thinking about picking up something tax-free then. Probably a diver of some sort, on a bracelet, to give my PO a break.

I've got a few possibilities. I think that it will be something a little more niche and less mainstream, but not sure exactly what yet - a few things on the radar.

It was going to be either the Omega Broad Arrow GMT or the Breitling Chronomat but the Chronomat didn't quite take my breath the way I thought it would and while I'm still waiting the arrival of the Omega at the local AD, for some reason I don't think it's going to work either.

So now I'm seriously looking at a JLC - specifically models in the master control series, such as the world geographic or chronograph models but I'm also looking at IWC, UN, Dornbluth and Sohn and Bremont, although ideally a second hand Bremont for the price they are. Definitely something a little more classically formal to round out the collection.

Looking for a diver, hope to purchase in May sometime. I have three watches I'm considering:
1) Breitling new SO - yellow or blue accent
2) IWC Aquatimer 2000
3) UN Maxi marine diver

Since this would be a daily wearer during the summer the UN may be on the costly side. I need to see these in person though. Anyone have any experience with the UN model?
Thanks

Snap!!

I like your taste, I'm also considering exactly those 3. I've also got a 4th candidate (Seamaster GMT).

It'll be one of these 3:

Submariner
Original Seadweller
Milgauss

It probably won't be for awhile though

I just bought recently, so it will be a little while before I'm looking again, such is life.

I would also get a diver: Aquatimer, PO, or our own SOH. Rubber straps on any of the 3.......

Just wondering how long the SOH will be the same style, and how long big watches will dominate the market.......I can't go back though, I have two 44mm pieces that are perfect. I used to have a 38mm Tag that now looks so ridiculous my wife wears it.

Hopefully I'll get round to paying off the remainder of the deposit I have on an Omega Ploprof before too long. (It's been sitting in my AD's safe for a couple of months now! )

Then it's definitely a Rolex Deepsea.

That'll probably be it for me this year, as the other pieces I would like to pick up are all a little too expensive to justify considering my practically non-existent work bonus this year (again!). :?

If some extra cash comes around I have the following possibilities on my list:

1) Panerai 111 or 312
2) Rolex Green Milgauss
3) Zenith Chronomaster Open
4) Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine LE

or.. I have been looking more and more at filling my dress watch. A few that have drawn my eye....

1) Vacheron Constantin
2) Dornblueth and Sohn
3) Glashutte Original

Of course all these choices will change 50 times this year, expecially when the bargins start getting listed or a Cosmonaute DB or a bronze Le Mans come available at a realistic price.

I could use a proper dress watch, whenever I see a TT Datejust with champagne dial and jubilee bracelet I  but I'm not convinced that I want another Rolex. The other itch I'm looking to scratch is either a steel or TT (probably TT) Chronomat. Not sure of the dial color other than it won't be blue.

Researching Chronomats was how I found this site in the first place.
