There are a heck of a lot of gold filled / gold capped / rolled gold / gold plated Omegas.

No expert on vintage Omegas, but I believe that it's the same as Breitling - stainless steel caseback is an indication of a rolled gold or gold plated watch, only the solid gold ones had gold casebacks.

Really? The AD told me all their Omega's are solid gold... Damn lucky i didn't pull the trigger on that 2 tone. The price was very tempting, but something in the back of my head said don't do it.

I would be pretty pissed to pay for solid gold and get some plated crap.

Waaaay too general a question, as there are about a million different Seamster varieties in the Omega stable during that era.
Is it solid gold or gold plated?
A time/date-type watch or a chronograph?
Etc...
Pic is vital, or at least a reference #.
Best,
T.
