Those of you that have been around for a while will know that I have been seriously considering adding a Louis Moinet. I was leaning towards a twintech in Old Rose or Chocolate, but was also rather taken with the Jules Verne watches that they announced last year. There are two versions, very similar except for the addition of a rattrapante on one and the only thing that put me off slightly was the fact that the dials were only black or white. Well rather lost in all of the excitement of their new Jurassic Tourbillon with genuine dinosaur bone were two new versions - a havana version of the Instrument 1 and a midnight blue version of Instrument 2. I'm thinking that I may have a new faourite Louis Moinet!! Warning - large file http://www.louismoinet.com/Pressroom/im ... ope_en.pdf |

alex** wrote: they are very special i like alot!!! dare i ask the rrp and the realistic purchase price iff different? No discounts - you pay list, and probably less than you think. The white and black are $18,900 for Instrument 1 and $19,600 for Instrument 2, not cheap, but a lot of watch for the money. The havana and blue will be more because they are more limited numbers, but as a comparison the twintech LEs of 60 are $12,900 and the Chocolate dial which is an LE of just 4 is $14,900 so not a huge increase. |

I need to check with them about the movement - they aren't exclusively in house and not sure about these. They are a great company to communicate with. |

Undoubtedly unique pieces. A blueprint for Roff watch maybe? |

I like the design, but can't see anything special maybe you can point some things out. What are those things on the watch that look like nobs ? is that the locking mechanism for the crown? the 2nd time zone feature looks cool though....but i don't know if i would spend that type of money on that type of watch, for a watch collector like your self it seems like a nice piece to have but for me to wear on occasion it would really look out of place.. Just my 2 cents or 2 shekels... |

vadim wrote: What are those things on the watch that look like nobs ? If you mean the levers, that's to operate the pushers. Shadow87 wrote: it can be your '2010 Summer Gift' Well hardly, it won't be available to sell until just before Christmas if Louis Moinet sticks to their usual trend. I think that the comment also suggests that you don't really know how my collection works. Oester wrote: is a 12 limited series ? (per colour) Yes, per watch actually as they are different. All Louis Moinets are limited, usually in runs of 60. There are 60 white and 60 black of each of Instrument 1 and Instrument 2 and now 12 havana Instrument 1 and 12 midnight blue Instrument 2. |

Christmas gift is an even bigger excuse ![]() And no, i have no idea how your collection works, do tell! I also don't know your collection, got pics?? |

Beautiful Roff and a great article, thanks for posting. I'll be interested to hear the response to your movement queries. Sounds like it could be a lot of watch for the price. |
