Original Blackbird (date at 3) or new Blackbird (big date at 12).

In both cases you unscrew the crown and pull it out to the first position (running seconds still moving) and then turn the crown to adjust the date.

In the case of the small date at 3 you should not do that between 8pm and 3am because of potential damage to the date change mechanism. The newer big date version has instand date change and doesn't carry the same warning.

Are you sure (not that I should question your watch wisdom  )? I would have to check my manual. I thought the instant date change only applies to the B01?

Definitely not just the B01. Cockpit has it for sure and I think that the Blackbird / 6.75 do as well.

Agreed. I think it's anything with the Big Date windows. The numbers for the date are viewed through two panes. The date changes with a realy snap right around midnight.
