I recently purchased a 4 watch winder on the bases that it was at a reasonable price ($250 Canadian). Perhaps I'm putting the cart before the horse but wouldnt mind your opinion on what should be considered when looking for a watch winder. |

Seriously tho folks... As previously mentioned, when I collected my Bentley (watch I hasten to add...) my AD give me an EILUX winder - I'd mentioned to him previously that I was able to find winders fairly cheap on the WEB but nothing sensibly priced available in mainland France. He has recently received an order of the EILUX model and it's all I ask for - virtually totally silent, small, and above all, it keeps my watch wound... It can be adjusted to wind clockwise, anticlockwise or both (although not at the same time, it would appear...) and runs on two LR14 batteries that should last a year. As it was a gift, I felt it a bit crass to ask how much it cost - however, I want another one so I'll update this post next week, with the price. |

Eilux winders are great.. one of the better deals in winders out there as far as getting a quality one affordably. There site is here: http://www.watchproducts.net/ They have good specials all the time on factory seconds. |

As I mentioned before I ended up buying a winder for a company here in Toronto that sells parts to jewellery and watchmakers. Interesting enough they carry or can get an array of parts for a large number of name brand. ie. Omega, Rolex, Tag parts ranging from bands, Crowns, Bazels, Dials etc. I ended up buying a 4 watch winder and its been in use for a month now and so far so good. I has 3 settings clockwise (continues), Clockwise (continues) or clockwise for 90 seconds, Pause for 5 minutes and then counter clockwise for 90 seconds. The unit is virtually silent you actually have to put your ear up to the unit to hear it. The only downside so far is the slot in which your install the watches is a bit too shallow so you have to make sure the watches is securely in place. Otherwise so far so good.. I ended up paying slightly over two hundred and fifty dollars for the unit. The company that I purchased the unit from didnt have a picture on their site so the directed me to the following http://www.alpineselection.com/ the winder is listed under feature product. |
