I've gone to my AD, that is now bankrupt..., that had Raymond Weil watches, and they were heavily discounted, 40-50%, maybe more (it was a while back, so I forget), but when I told my dad, cause after the discounts were very well in my budget, he said, "Oh, Raymond Weil, ehh not a good brand." Coming from the guy who knows little bout watches, only ever owned Victorinox watches, I'm unsure of the reliability of his comment. Is it true, is Raymond Weil no that good of a brand? based on price. I dont know much bout them, but I can bet they have generic movements. So are they a good bang for the buck? Thanks. |

Must admit, I am a bit wary of Raymond Weil watches, I have sen a load on ebay with 'works ok but second hand fell off' etc etc and imo I think they are a bit over priced from what I have seen in the stores. |

40 - 50% off is making them only slightly overpriced. They are way overpriced for what they are and build quality has been improving. I was offered an extremely good deal on a Nabucco (below dealer cost) and passed because I still didn't think that it was worth the price. They have some interesting designs, but not a lot of substance to them. |

Ok, thanks. Well, I guess I got my answer for that... They do have some interesting designs, thats why I was a little interested at first, but at those prices, a Longines watch would be 100 times better. |

Probably went to same AD, I picked an RW for 70% off because I liked the look. I have many different watches, I try to always get something I like, sometimes quality will have to suffer for a great deal. as long as you like it, that's all that matters |

Which RW did you get? |

I have a RW sport chrono (3 sub dials)....I love the size, design, and strap. I got better than 50% off in early '09. Inexpensive pick up (quartz), but I enjoy it and it looks great with casual dress. |
