I am slowly but surely selling off my entire collection. Ever since I got my Deepsea, it's all I wear. The only problem is, I'd like something a less expensive that I can wear and knock around and not feel bad doing it.

Here are my stipulations:
  • $1500 or less
  • 42mm +
  • brushed finish
  • automatic (maybe quartz, but you'll have to convince me)

What do you guys think?

Oris has a nice selection of divers in that price range.

My Skyland is the last one I have left, outside my DSSD. I've got it listed here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16036

In regards to Oris - I had an Oris TT1 but the case shape was just too weird for me. It had tremendous build quality for the price but I just didn't love it.

beauty! Too rich for my blood, but I'm sure someone will snatch it - it's so good looking. Why not spend the $1500 on a used/vintage Breitling that you have some familiarity with? Maybe a quartz version of one of the autos or just an auto or quartz that someone is dumping on one of the many watch forums. Here is a website that combs and lists many sales forums together. Just search for whatever brand you want: http://www.elitedealseeker.com/index.cg ... ry=watches

Yeah, I'd like something that is around 3 years old or newer. I'll keep an eye out.

There's the group LE buy that Altair is arranging. A lot of watch for the money :D

Not sure if you're after a 'luxury' brand but Citizen also make a good watch for the price.

Not really digging the Speedys anymore. After I sold my 3570, I haven't had a desire for another one.

I'm trying to find a used Lum-Tec Combat B1/B2 right now :)

Why not a used Steelfish, it has all you desire. 44mm, brushed, diver.

Have you considered the Oris TT3 models. Brushed/polished Ti, 100m resistance, CF dials. Beautiful quality for the money.

What about some of the lesser know brands like Halios, Nauticfish, Ocean7, etc.

I don't know if it is too much of a Rolex homage but what about a Longines Hydroconquest, either the regular automatic or chrono? They seem to be a solid watch for the money, comparable to Oris in quality.
