Post subject: | Posting in multiple fora...? |
So since I discovered the various Breitling forums at about the same time frame, I have felt somewhat compelled to post my threads in triplicate. Since I'm technically still travelling on vacation, I'm not behind my computer and have been posting with my iPhone (and thank goodness for Photogene & Photobucket iPhone apps!). I also use the multi-tab browser iCab. As far as posting threads, BreitlingSource has been e most technically-"friendly" & easiest to submit, etc. WUS on the other hand, will allow me to post only using iPhone Safari; while TZ forces me to change all the photobucket links from IMG codes to HTML refs. My question is, is this acceptable practice? How many members do the 3 fora actually share in common u think? Is it worth the effort? |

Over the last 6 months I have taken the time to look through the forums you mentioned above. Here is a couple of things I have noticed from afar! 1) At times, and I know it has happened here lately but not for a while ![]() 2) There doesn't seem to be as many posts produced from day to day as there is here at Breitling Source. 3) Again, and this is only my opinion, there doesn't seem to be the same camaraderie on the other sites as here. These are only things I have noticed in the last 6 or 7 months as I say. I have never posted on these sites but I know some of you have and don't want to offend anyone with these comments but thats just an honest summing up from me! ![]() Cheers |

I also post on the WUS (only 500+ posts), but I find this place more friendlier and relaxed. |

I have memberships in other places, but with mod responsibilities here it takes quite a time to keep track of all the active threads so don't really go elsewhere. Although TZ and WUS will expose you to more viewers I think that we are big enough now to be able to answer most questions, though posting on all sites makes sense for sales activity. |

I have posted minimally on TZ. I posted only once on WUS a long time ago (over 1 year) and the curtness and general demeanor of the responses pushed me away from there quickly. I stay here because of all of the above reasons as well as you people tolerate my catostrophic wise-assness stunningly well! ![]() |

I used to post on TZ (under a different name) a long time ago, but I haven't been on there in at least 2 years now. But BreitlingSource is my spiritual watch-home and (with the exception of the odd post on WUS) this is the only place I post nowadays. |

Quote: How many members do the 3 fora actually share in common u think? Is it worth the effort? I would guess most regulars on here are members of all 3 boards but have very different post counts. Just checked mine and they are TZ-UK 80, WUS 87, BS 3274. I know, I should get out more! ![]() If it's about Breitling, then I'd just post here. TZ, or at least TZ-UK where I post, does not have a separate Breitling section so posts get lost. WUS/Breitling is, IMHO, the grand-daddy of the Breitling forums with a number of very knowledgeable posters but doesn't seem to have the patience with noobs which you get on here. No one will criticise you (at least on here) for posting on all three boards but I suspect you'll get more and quicker answers here. And since I don't remember greeting you in the Introductions section, ![]() |

Sharkmouth wrote: And since I don't remember greeting you in the Introductions section, Uh, my bad, I kindda skipped the Intros... Thx for the welcome!![]() I agree w all the points raised here. The multiple posts I was referring to are more "sharing" stories/photos posts, not really technical questions or sales (only have the 2 Lings!!). Perhaps a bit concerned about being thought of as "attention whore" by posting in all fora -- where the intention is only still simply to spread the joy of this new-found (but unfortunately VERY expensive) interest for me! ![]() Thank you all for replying! I do feel that BreitlingSource is my "home" forum! |

Originally I used wus almost exclusively except for vintage stuff where I also posted here. Recently wus has become a place I've not wanted to spend time on, as such I now only really post here regularly. |
