Post subject:  Panerai luminor base VS panerai marina

I'm very new in panerai world but recenlty I become curious to which one is better to have it. I'm thinking getting a luminor base with sandwich dial because it's very simple and also elegant. The marina in the other hand has more style on the dial but right now I'm actually leaning a little bit on the luminor base. Any advice on which one is better to have it? You think the marina is better?

I don't think there's a "right" or "wrong", "better" or "worse" question here - personally I think it comes down to what you find as being the most suitable watch for you.

I have several Panerai, and I like/wear them for different reasons.

The Base Luminor is a superb watch, and if the fact that there are no seconds on the dial isn't a problem, then I recommend it - the sandwich dial, the display back - beautiful. It's hand wound, as is the Marina. The automatic movements begin with the Marina Automatic.

I prefer the Base as the dial is so simple and elegant (as you said in your post) but this is a personal preference.
