I've just recently spotted this series of Seiko. The better models has got automatic movement, calendar, saphire crystal etc.

A good deal?

They're very well made watches that suffer from the name.

They have a passionate following among those that collect them, but that market is limited. They are trying to break into North America more with their mechanical pieces, so maybe things will change in the next few years. The problem I have is that there isn't much truly different about them to pull people away from the Swiss.

It's a lot of watch for the money, but I don't think that price is particularly stellar.

That, and the lack of being made in Switzerland which puts some off. (Me included, but then I'm a snob like that!  )
