At a visit to the Olympic Games Boutique in Vancouver today, I made an unexpected purchase. It's a stainless steel gents ring, with polished/brushed surface. It is quite a heavy ring, and definitely made for men. It is beautiful in it's simplicity. Here are a few shots, taken at a bar earlier tonight by my buddy with his iPhone: ![]() ![]() ![]() And a few more pictures - although poor quality - taken at home by me: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope that these shots will give some idea of the looks of the ring, and how it coordinates with the watch. I always thought the AT 8500 is a beautiful watch, and a beautiful piece of jewelry. Now, with the ring...well, I can't leave home without it! Cheers, Carl |

Having seen it in person when Carl was purchasing it I can attest to the quality, really really nice! Still think you should have added that museum chronograph at the same time Carl ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I did think about it, after my 6th Innis & Gunn (a beautiful, STRONG, Scottish brew). When I woke up this morning, and saw my AT8500 staring at me, I looked at it with renewed pleasure! Next time we get together, please bring your camera. I just can't seem to get decent shots of anything! ![]() Cheers, Carl |

Didn't realise that Omega made rings. Is this just a special for the Olympics boutique? |

Mostly womens', but some very gorgeous pieces. The girls at the boutique were each wearing at least one item of Omega jewellery. Very high end and expensive looking. A few rings with some very beautiful diamonds. I just happened to ask one of them if Omega made any mens' rings. On the Omega website, there is a section called "Accessories", where the jewellery and leather goods are located. Unfortunately, the photos are quite disappointing, but you can at least get an idea of what is on offfer. They have a catalogue, and there were at least two for men. They only had one model in stock, the one I got, which is stainless steel. They have another in white gold and black onyx, which is the shape of the Omega sign. The onyx bits are at the ends of the symbol. About $1500USD. They can order it. They also had some beautiful leather goods - a few wallets, and a messenger type bag. Plus they have the Aqua Terra Mens' Cologne, which is actually very nice. While we were there, a guy came in specifically for that item, and took six. The Olympics hasn't even started, and the shop already appears to be very busy. There was a couple there who were obviously keenly interested in the red gold Tourbillon - priced at a cool $125,000. It was a wonderful experience, which I shall repeat again. Everyone in the shop - staff and customers included - all seemed to be keenly interested in the products. There was no pretense, and just a lot of good-natured cameraderie. More like a party atmosphere! ![]() Cheers, Carl |
