Yes, Louis Moinet make some rather nice watches don't they

I like 'em. The shape of the case might need to grow on me a bit, but they certainly have a visual impact. I've noticed this before about Louis Moinet watches - that rectangular one in the magazines (Twintech I think?) really catches the eye.

I'd not checked out the Louis Moinet site since they first cropped up on here a few months ago - so I guess the Jules Verne models are new. I love 'em!

There's still an Old Rose or Chocolate Twintech with my name on it

Old Rose is a nicer and more unique colour in my humble opinion...... but as you know the Chocolate is more unique in terms of being a much smaller LE run. Hmmmmmm.... difficult one!

I like the Twintech too (and it's reasonably affordable), but these Jules Vernes pieces are just superb looking. The ONLY thing I can find wrong with them is that they're made of <shudder> titanium. If it was made of steel I'd be selling my car for one!

Didn't occur to me before - are you changing your stance on Ti, D8? I thought it was a potential deal-breaker for you.

No, I'm not changing my mind on titanium! Still a deal-breaker for me. Like I said on my later post in this thread, that is the one thing I don't like about it (apart from the price tag of course!). If it was made of SS, then I honest would be considering selling a few others to fund it. (Kind of glad I don't have that dilemma actually! )

Driver, why don't you like Ti?

I've been thinking of picking up a PAM 176 recently. I luv me some base PAM.

I just don't like the feel or the lightness of it. It always feels (and sounds when you rattle a ti bracelet) a bit like plastic to me! I owned an M1 for all of about 2 days a few years ago and took it back.

Titanium is also more scratch-happy than SS as well, although the oxidation of ti does help to hide the scratches over time.
