Hi guys, Just had a look at a 1997 rolex submarriner at a local jewlers.
The watch looked brand new as if it hadn't been worn at all, but the alarm bells rang when the assistant told me
that ther were NO papers and NO box and a watch like this doesn't need papers, Duur!!
Am I right to be suspitious at 3150 pounds. I wonder if she would accept 350 9 pound notes.
Any comments please.

I don't know that much about rolex, but I would be a little turned off by that. For me a fine watch is more than just the watch itself. The paperwork and box seems to just be a package that gives me pleasure. I couldn't bring myself to buy it without them, but that is just me. Most of my freinds wouldn't care if the deal was right. Different strokes for different folks.

The Sub is probably the most dangerous watch on the planet to be buying like that.
