What's the difference, if it's not a gyrotourbillon or a flying tourbillon, they look pretty similar to.... But, based on pricing, I'm assuming there's a big difference. So what are the differences between a regular watch mainspring and a tourbillon?

Thanks!

I can't really answer that - it's kind of like asking what's the difference between an apple and an orangutan.

They aren't really comparable - tourbillons still need mainsprings.

I wrote an article on tourbillons a few months ago if that helps - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7879

Crikey Roff, where did you go to school? I'd have thought EVERYBODY would be able to tell the difference between an apple and an orangutan! An apple has WAY less orange fur on it!

:yeahthat and you have to marinate an orangutan for aboujt 3 days and then roast it over a warm flame or it gets tough. An apple you can eat raw and they are delightful!
