You know, whatches that you are so satisfied with you don't think that you will ever sell or get rid of, those watches that you never regret buying and that if stolen you would go out and get another the same day.

Here is the list so far:

Chronomat Evolution

Bentley 6.75

Rolex GMT Master IIc

Omega Seamaster 300m GMT "bond"

I would say my Seiko Diver and Tissot Seastar but lets keep this in the higher end. I love all those watches to bits and its a touch choice picking just one everyday

Man that's a toughy... If i had the money, most of my watches would be keepers. All the Lings I have a more or less Keepers, but after a while, I feel like I have too many watches so I will sell some because I feel like i can't justify having soo many, but the Chronomat Evo, Bentley Motors, Montbrillaant Legende, Super Avenger are definately keepers for now.

The "for now" kind of contradicts the whole concept, I meant those few watches that you believe you will never part with!

I'll be keeping my Breitlings - Navi World, Steelfish and SA. I've gone through a few watches in my time (including a few Breitlings), but I'm exceptionally happy with the ones I've got now.

I'd definitely have to replace my Nav-World, and my Rolex Submariner.

I could go a few days without my Fortis, but I might have to bump it to a B-42 Cosmonaut.

Have to say I'd agree with your list there (cos I've got 'em too!) - but I'd have to add my Panerai 253

Which is to me at least, sheer Panerai history.

I never deliberately get rid of any of my watches. I still have or have contact with almost all the watches I've ever owned, from the first Timex (40 odd years ago now) through to the Breitlings I purchased recently...they are either safely entombed in the attic, or in the care of family members. Some are regrettably lost, one is at the bottom of Poole bay, but I cant bring myself to conciously sell any of them. I cant compete with some on here as to the quality of older purchases, but each of mine, in their own way hold many pleasant memories. Other than the ones gifted to me, each one reflects the state of my finances and taste at the time. I own a few howlers from years gone by, but I got here in the end.

Sinn 956
Sinn 356 UTC
Sinn 757 UTC
Rolex Sea-Dweller

Just those four, I am on the fence about all the others in my collection so I guess by definition that excludes them.

I have a problem that I just can't part with them once I have them - nice problem to have, except for the bank balance

We're all the same (he says, desperately trying to get rid of two Panerai and two Breitlings...) It's odd - up until now I've never found it easy to part with things like this, but now, given that the idea of what I really want has evolved somewhat, I can accept the fact that I want to unload some, knowing that the 'grail' is coming.

Of course, knowing me, this time next year it'll probably be a different 'grail'...
